I have the lock box, but we do not have a key so it is a good thing that it is not locked! For the auction you need to get: 2 small note books for the books for the odd/even book keepers 1 large note book for the other book keepers 1 note book for the splits stickers for labeling the plants misc. pens Adding machines are nice but not nessisary. For change, I general got to the bank and write a check for cash and get 1 roll of nickels 2 rolls of dimes 2 rolls of quarters $30- $50 in ones (depends on the auction) $100 in fives We usually get enough 10's and 20's during the auction to break bigger bills if we need to. This combination usually gives us way more change than we need, but it doesn't cost anything and running out is a pain. You need to keep track of the amount of change you bring and deduct it form the auction profit. I usually send the cash back to the bank and keep the change. In other words, I have some change at home and will need to count it to let you know what you need to pick up. I have a few questions: Steve: Do you have or know where to find "the GSAS lock box" containing (or to contain) change in the form of dollar bills and coins for the auction next Tuesday? In your past experience as treasurer, did you withdraw some amount of cash from the GSAS account before the plant and general auctions to be used at the auction? Erik: I tried using "db.gsas" in the URL window and my browser could not find anything. I have tried in the past "www.db.gsas" as well as some other combinations which have not worked. How would you suggest I proceed from here?
