I would like to point out, since Steve is probably too kind to do so
himself, that only one person showed up on Saturday to help him clean (and
3 or 4 hours late at that).  I realize many of us made plans to be out of
town, or might have completely forgotten, but Steve mentioned about this
"week before" cleanup way back in the spring when he was nudged into
holding the picnic at his parents' house yet again, and everyone on the
board said they'd help.

I beleive that as a board, we have completely jeapordized any future
chances of holding the picnic at the Avenell's.  Steve was ready to cancel
the picnic altogether due to the lack of support.  And frankly, I don't
blame him.
