way to go Erik---- we always love the newsletter, and know that it is a LABOR of love--being psyched about all of your hard work is an unexpected benefit. can't wait to get something other than bills and junk mail! :') Victoria -----Original Message----- From: nevits [mailto:nevits@eskimo.com] Sent: Saturday, April 01, 2000 10:58 AM To: gsas-board@thekrib.com Subject: RE: Newsletter Coming along Great!!! -----Original Message----- From: owner-gsas-board@thekrib.com [mailto:owner-gsas-board@thekrib.com]On Behalf Of Erik Olson Sent: Saturday, April 01, 2000 9:59 AM To: gsas-board@gsas.org Subject: Newsletter Coming along Hi guys, Just wanted to drop a note and let you know that I'm close to finishing the newsletter, and it's 22 FREAKIN' PAGES LONG! This ain't Maxine or GPAS pages, these are Erik-"cram as much as you can into the space" pages. And I only authored 5 pages myself! And I didn't even do the cover photo! This will probably be our first triple-stamp issue. Wooooo!!!! [calming down] Anyway, the reason for this note is that I decided to include the GSAS 101 article Steve suggested we xerox for new members, so NOBODY XEROX the OLD version. Looking through that article, there were a lot of things needing updates (contact phone numbers, organizations we no longer belong to, etc). I'm considering a "class upgrade" on the binding for this month only (maybe even 11x17 paper with staples in the middle?), and we'll offer this newsletter as a bonus for signing up the night of the auction (and leave the crappy ones I've done for the past year on the table as samples). I'll make some extra pages with just the GSAS 101 and the membership form as well. Gotta say, I haven't been psyched about doing a newsletter like this in maybe a year or more. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com
