RE: Robert's Rules/Board Meeting

Wow!  A lot has been said about the meeting so that doesn't leave much for me 
(this is a good thing :) ).
        1.  People are serious about how the club is run and what we do.  This
        is a good thing since we can put the effort in to get things done (and
        done well).  But let's make sure we don't get too wrapped up about
        issues (I think we have done a good job with this so far too).

        2.  I don't care much for formalized rules like Robert's and I think we
        can and have done a good job without a strict adherence to protocol.
        But let's make sure that everyone at least feels that their opinions 
have
        been heard and the decision on an issue was handled in a democratic
        manner (not a "coup d'etat" :) )

        3.  I personally think it is a good idea to contribute money to the
        aquarium but let's a) find out more about how to donate and b) talk
        about this kind of donation at the next meeting(s).

I enjoyed visiting with everyone at the meeting and had a good time.
