As I said in the previous message, Wayne did *not* ask us to pay the extra
$100 at all.  Kathy can confirm this.  I am pretty sure he said "that's
not necessary".

This falls in that same ballpark of giving Steve's parents the gift
certificate for hosting the picnic under duress, or giving Diane and Rich
one for continuing to help us nearly 10 years after they stopped being
active in the club (btw, did we send them a gift certificate?).  It's
strictly a "thank you".
