Erik, et. al., I feel it went really smoothly last nite in general and from a sales standpoint it was a success. I appreciate being appreciated, although my job was not nearly as hectic as the checkers. Problems I saw: 1. Many people left due to the "deep pockets" in the front and I saw a lot of bored or somewhat irked people . This was apparent by the number of empty seats as the evening progressed. I know a few people that really wanted the bogwood... This is counterproductive to the well being of the club and our auctions, so I like some of the mentioned suggestions. Maybe we need a cap on number of items purchased chosen as a percentage of total auction items, e.g. "no one person can purchase more than 10% of the items", or some such... 2. It seemed the traffic pattern in front of the checkin/out tables was a little too hectic during the auction with marking people, auctioneers, runners people checking in new plants and everyone else. I don't know if this could be choreographed a little better. Maybe we could discuss that too. 3. I didn't see any pop or coffee/tea, etc. No "biggy" though. Everything else went great, and I was impressed with the Barcode procedure, and actually getting the plant names listed on the Recpts.!! Great Job everyone!!! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo! Mail - only $35 a year! http://personal.mail.yahoo.com/
