Hi Folks, Looks like the Vancouver Aquarium Hobbyist Club is still alive and kicking...Just got the enclosed note about their annual auction at the Vancouver Aquarium on November 4th. Their auction is very different from the GSAS auction... the bulk of the goods are fish, plants and goods brought in by MEMBERS, and there's very little manufacturer donated equipment. This is actually a good thing! If past years are an example, expect to see a lot of killifish (some very good breeders up there) and plants. The other difference with their auction is they don't cram it into three hours like we have to, so you can make it an all-day trip, maybe even visit the aquarium. Just be careful crossing the Canada-US border with those plants; it's illegal to import them without a permit. Fish should be no problem, though. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Sat, 8 Sep 2001 10:19:52 -0700 From: Dave Carlson <fishguy@attcanada.ca> To: erik@thekrib.com Subject: VAHC auction Hi Erik, The Vancouver Aquatic Hobbyist Club are having our annual auction Sunday November 4, 9-4.
