FW: club donation

I need your help

Many of you have most likely already heard of the pending lawsuit of Petswarehouse.com against several hobbyists for alleged defamation and other charges as a result of comments these people made about their service and buying experience on the discussion forum Aquarium Plants Digest, amounting to 15 million dollars.

I have been recently added to the list of defendants. I would be lying if I said this was not frightening. My business and the articles I write for TFH barely eek me out a living, keep me off disability, and allow me to care for my elderly parents. The affect this would have on my life is unimaginable.

All of the people named in this suit are hard working, simple people, and while we are confident that justice will prevail in the end, reaching that point is financially draining to say the least.

A defense fund has been set up at http://216.168.47.67/psw/Fund.htm Any size donation would be much appreciated. There are almost 1000 people subscribed to this newsletter. Many of you have been long time subscribers finding some value in this newsletter. A five dollar donation from everyone would give us enough to continue the process to attempt to have this case dismissed. Please do whatever you can.

I would also like to humbly suggest that you share this information with as many people as you feel comfortable doing so. If you are an active member of a local Aquarium society/club, ask the club to make a group donation. Copy this message or make up a flyer to distribute at your next club meeting. I have donated plants over the years to clubs all over the country and I know most of these organizations are strapped for money, but I am asking these groups to recipicate this kindness.

Please DO NOT send your donations directly to me or ask to include it with a purchase from me. For several reasons it should be kept separate and donated directly to the defense fund. Legal professionals willing to donate their time is also much appreciated.
