Kathy,

I would not have a problem sponsoring a class if we have people from our
Club going down there to participate.  But, without that, I do not see any
benefit.  I would say that the Texas club needs to hit their dealerships
down there for the donations to sponsor the awards.  That is what we did
when we had homeshows up here.  It works and works well.  That is my
personal opinion, but, I am open to everyone elses thoughts.

I have something for your club to consider:  We would like y'all to sponsor
a class in our spring show, which is the 50th anniversary of the Federation
of Texas Aquarium Societies.  Go to www.texascichlid.org for more
information on what we are doing.  We only have 5 classes left:
discus/angels; Lakes Victoria/Kivu; Lamprologus; non-cichlid egg-layers; and
scavengers.  Cost is only $15 per class, and we will put a placard by your
class's group of tanks noting your sponsorship.

What do you say?  I have sent e-mails to several other clubs, but have only
heard from Minnesota Aquarium Society.  Bob Randall is planning on coming
down, and MAS is going to sponsor a class.

Gotta go.  Hope things are well with y'all.  Let me know what the club wants
to do.
