Get a chicken.  they make excellent predators for Roaches acording to my
wife.  In australia she had chickens devouring roaches all the time due to
the excess of them in Australia.

or you can try a live trap too.
A bucket with margarine along the sides on the inside.  Then add a bunch of
sugar to the bottom with some wine (a few drops) and leave it out overnight.
Makes for great way to catch food and feed it to your oscar.

I worry about all my electrical appliances!  Since the apartment is kept at
a relatively chilly 75 degrees, and the inside of my laptop is so very warm
and cozy...
