Erika, Alright!! you are up and running....guess you have made the deep south your home now? Say, I got one question about your tank though.......ready? Ummmmmm, how the heck do you know what a urinal cookie looks like? ~~troubled look....furrowed brow.....hoping this ain't one of them stories my Mom warned me about.....running off to bed to ponder the issue a bit~~ Clay -----Original Message----- From: Charter [mailto:charter@charter-terminal.com] Sent: Tuesday, June 11, 2002 11:15 PM To: gsas-board@thekrib.com Subject: I know it's kind of dumb... but I'm so excited, I just have to share! :) http://fisherking.org/atlanta/images/newtank.jpg I've just finished the initial setup, so it still looks pretty bare. It ain't no Amano-style "Downtown Seattle skyline in glossostigma, with riccia Mount Rainier in the distance," but it makes me happy. You can't really see my favorite part from the picture, which is that the floating "raft" of duckweed slowly rotates counter-clockwise in the surface current, which creates a really nifty dappled light effect. I'm SO happy that I was FINALLY able to find the rocks I wanted! I searched all over town today, and had given up, when the clerk at Borders (where I was purchasing the latest issue of FAMA to cheer myself up) spontaneously mentioned a pet store around the corner. I stopped in (little hoping for any luck) and there they were! My rocks! Must go get some sleep now. - Erika P.S. I just took another look at the picture, and feel compelled to point out that the thing at top center is a sponge filter (to seed the water), and not a floating urinal cake. ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe gsas-board" in the body of the message.
