RE: Open-ended question to the Board

Rick,

I think that all of the ideas we have been discussing in the latest flurry
of emails are fantastic ones. Including some that I have been sent
personally. I have asked those people that have sent me personal notes to
share them with the Board so that we can better communicate with all of the
Club.

Everyone,

How do you feel about having a Mission or Vision statement? I would like to
hear from more of you out there.

Clay

I see two "goals" within Erika's message.

If we're talking about a general goal for GSAS as a club, I couldn't agree
with Erik more! I'd like to emphasize the "hobnobbing" part. You can go to
a theater and watch a movie with 300 other people, have a good time
together, and not know the first thing about any of them when the credits
roll. I'd like to see (and feel) more of a sense of community among the
membership.

Erika's goal about publishing the newsletter seems to be more of personal
goal related to her position. I have one of those too. My goal for the club
is to document in word and picture every facet of this club-year.

I would like to see a full and excited group of attendees at our monthly
meetings, have them enjoy each and every program, hobnob with one another,
go home happy, and be wanting more for the next month.
