Well, it'll either happen or it won't... I'm doing the best I can by not speaking out loud to anyone today, and getting as much rest as I can. > I've just about burned myself out getting ready for this one meeting. > I'm glad they're not ALL like this. Ha! This is a relatively easy one. Imagine, if you will, e-mailing back & forth a dozen times setting up a speaker to come to Seattle, and then e-mailing Portland another couple dozen times trying to get the dates right, then schlepping said fancy guest speaker around for the weekend and Monday before the meeting, disrupting your few days of free time and work week. Now imagine doing that 5 times in a 7 month period. Now imagine on the other two months in that 7 month period having computers splayed out all over your living room for several days as you install software you haven't looked at in a year in an attempt to get ready for the auction. Oh, and simultaneously trying to remember to get the website updated on a reasonable basis, and, typically, mailing out a postcard to the membership a week before. That's been every meeting last year, except for the workshop and christmas party! - Erik --- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com ------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail majordomo@thekrib.com with "unsubscribe gsas-board" in the body of the message.
