Hi folks,

While cleaning some files out of our large filing cabinet today, I ran
across four or five loose file folders of old GSAS stuff that I'd sorted
from various loose papers.  I think my intent on these files was to have a
place for either extra copies of things that were already in the prez book
(now famously-documented as destoyed by '98-00 president Heather
Candelaria's ex-boyfriend), or things that don't belong in the prez book
to begin with.  There are files labeled "Auction" "Graphics" "Address
Lists" "Shows" and "Official".  I'm actually scanning the majority of the
documents right now, because you guys (especially Rick) will find some of
them of historical interest.

Anyway, as I said, one of them is labeled "GSAS Official" and son of a gun
if I didn't find a copy of the club bylaws, revisions and articles of
incorporation and in the middle, along with our tax ID number!

I know that this isn't the copy that was in the president notebook,
because there's some missing pages of non-bylaws info such as financials
from the 70's and pictures of the big shows that were held back then.  
I'm guessing that some copies were made in 1994 when Linda Morin replaced
Warren Holmen who had possibly been treasurer since the start of the club.  
Linda spent a lot of effort to insure we were registered as the proper 
type of non-profit (we're a social club, not a charity, which means 
companies that donate can't take it off their taxes).  I beleive that she 
had to submit copies of the bylaws and articles of incorporation, and I 
beleive that these documents were copies she made.

At any rate, it's all being scanned in, and I will add this to the 
material I prepared back in September & burn some new DVD-ROMs for all who 
are interested in being keepers of the flame.
