Subject: Auction Donation (Box) Pickup in N. Seattle (Shoreline area)
Date: Sun, 06 Apr 2003 18:25:42 +0000
The letter with my phone number in it generated one call for assistance, so
far.
SASQUATCH has a box of stuff that he would like to donate to the club for
the
auction. Because he works until 7:30pm on Tuesday, he would like to set
the
box out behind his garage (under a fiber-glass roof) so that someone could
stop by and pick it up. He says if it's after dark, whomever comes should
bring a flashlight. I verified that there are no dogs to worry about -
just
two "attack-cats". And, if you're interested, he said to feel free and go
across the yard to look inside a locked box (of some kind) that is home to
two
of his pet snakes (there are 18 others inside the house!)
If someone will go by and pick this box up, then he doesn't want his 60%
and
all goes to the club. Otherwise, if he brings it, himself, after he gets
off
work, he "may take his cut". (I didn't mention that it would be too late
to
enter anything new into the auction after 7:30.)
He lives at
1221 NE 180th Street
Seattle, WA 98155
The box will be out (available for pickup) this afternoon.
Any Volunteers?
Also, it may be a good time to prepare that "Maximum number of purchases"-
policy that was briefly mentioned at one of our board meetings a while
back.
The phone conversation was very positive, friendly, and er.. a... not
'high'
this morning; but, Tuesday night might be a different story.
Thanks,
Rick
