If you guys can put together a full list of everyone who helped, I can use that copy for the website this month. I was particularly impressed with 6-year-old Miss Hess (darn, forgot her first name) who ran one of the computers, even for a spell with Merrie Jo not there. She scanned in the items, typed in the bidder amounts and numbers, and only needed help when putting in item descriptions. Very cool. My comment was "hey, I was thinking this program is so easy even a child can do it, but I know a few adults who couldn't figure it out." It's true! I'm always concerned that we be able to make things enjoyable for the kids who want to help, but not to the point at which the auction is held up. Gilead & Dalton did a good job keeping things moving (again better than some adults I could talk about a few years back). I suppose it's a great opportunity for them to gain confidence speaking in front of a crowd too. - Erik On Wed, 9 Apr 2003, Rick Rose wrote: > Oops, forgot to mention that the "young man" to whom June is referring was > Josh Simion. > > - Rick > > > > > >From: "Rick Rose" <rickhrose@hotmail.com> > >Reply-To: gsas-board@thekrib.com > >To: jdolb1@attbi.com > >CC: gsas-board@thekrib.com > >Subject: Re: Missing Gilead's Shell > >Date: Wed, 09 Apr 2003 13:07:21 -0700 > > > >Hi June, > > > >Thanks so much for your response.
