RE: Guppy Tournement

He sounds unusually anxious/impatient to hear back from us. I'll bet by "cooperate for this event" he really means 'share in the expenses'. My reason for asking for the email address was because you asked for someone to help you by researching to see if it's for real and it seemed like having his email address is the only place to start. Have you responded to his inquiry in any way?

I'm a little short on time right now so I'm hoping that someone else has the time to look into this, but if not, I could try to work it in.

Rick,

I sent you all that was in his email other than his email addy. If you like here is his addy too: chimbolo@attbi.com

He sent another email, today, that asks the following:

"how soon do you think you would know? What kind of information do you
think you need to be able to make a decision?
Enrique"

I've never heard of it, but it sounds legit. Could you forward the
original email so that we can see his email address and possibly website
info?

Thanks,
Rick

 Good Evening,

A question for all of you follows. How do each of you feel about
supporting this effort? Do we wish to get involved as a club in this
effort? Please let me know ASAP. I know nothing about the folks that
are putting this "tournement" on and have never heard of a fish
"tournement" of any sort. So, if one of you would be interested in
doing the research to find out if this is for real I would certainly
appreciate that as well. EMail follows:

Clay,

We are organizing an international guppy tournament here in the greater
seattle
area to take place in November 2003. This year would mark the 50th
aniversary
of the first guppy show in the united states and we thought we put our
name in
the map. We hope to attract participants from Asia, Europe, the US and
Canada.
We almost have our promotional material ready for display on our own web
site
and for print. We are working in collaboration with some of the best
breeders
and judges from the US, Canada and Germany. Do you think there might be
a way
for us and the GSAS to cooperate for this event?

Regards,
Enrique Patiño

Thanks,

Clay
