Good Morning, Can any of you possibly help Betty in her search for the subject fish? I am unaware of where one might go to find these fish, but, am hoping one of you can offer some hope. Thanx, Clay Hess GSAS President -----Original Message----- From: Betty Goetz [mailto:Betty.Goetz@noaa.gov] Sent: Friday, September 19, 2003 4:29 PM To: Hess, Clay A Subject: local availability - Endler's & Colisa chuna I have been chatting with a member of the Greater Seattle Aquarium Society and she suggested I contact a board member with this inquiry. I'm looking for a couple pairs of Endler's livebearers and 4-6 wild-type Colisa chuna (or C. sota depending on who you read <G>). If I can get one pair of the wild-type phenotype C. chuna that would be perfect but I'm willing to raise up a group hoping for at least one pair. Any suggestions? Local shops seem to carry only the mutant strains of lemon or flame chuna and look at me blank faced when I ask for the wild-type. I was warned away from Fish Gallery & Pets in Renton as a source for Endler's and it was suggested that a local hobbyist would be a better source (shrug). Again....any suggestions are welcome. -- Betty Goetz - Research Fishery Biologist Team Leader:Bering Sea pollock/rockfish Age & Growth Task Resource Ecology & Fisheries Management Division Alaska Fisheries Science Center, NMFS, NOAA P.O.
