Current stuff
Hi Everyone. Here's an assortment of items:
1. I've seen several newsletter-related emails. I like the idea of purging
all except active (paid up)membership and the exchange with local clubs -
Portland and Vancouver - if those two exchanges can be set up. I also like
the idea of a mainly on line newsletter with postal service an option for
those who desire it.
2.Dave - We most definitely want your "two cents worth" - yours and
everyone else's.
3.The keyhole cichlids sound like a good idea as FOTM as long as they're
not the only FOTM. They're kinda big for many people's tanks in my
opinion, but I think they're fairly uncommon and I'd hate to see an
opportunity like this slip by. Perhaps if not FOTM, then maybe a trading
post item.
4. Apparently I was mistaken in thinking that we had a copy of Erik and
Kathy's Amazon trip video - I checked, and we don"t. Erik, we were planning
to show the video as the main attraction for the November meeting. It's
been a couple of years, and we have a lot of new members who have'nt seen
it. Would you be able to provide a copy for our use? Would you be available
to show it, answer questions, etc? It would be great if you could.
5.I went to the bank and talked to them about transferring treasurer
duties. When Scott and I did it, all we had to do was go to the bank
together and sign signature cards. The bank policy has changed and now they
want, in addition to the signature cards, a copy of the meeting minutes
showing the authorizing of the transfer of duties (a must) and copies of
all legal documents pertaining to the establishment of GSAS (charters, tax
stuff, etc.). What a crock! Anyway, I was told that if we couldn't come up
with the documents we could probably "work around" that. Does anyone know
where these documents might be if they exist? would they be on file with
the state or county? Did they get tossed along with the bylaws in the
"Great Purge"?
So as soon as the minutes are published Susan and I can do the signature
cards down in Tacoma, and if there is more paperwork to be done I was told
I can take care of it up here.
"Nuff for now. It's too nice outside to be inside poking away at this computer.
Bob
