Check this out!I will contact Mr. Waltzek immediately and see if we can get him for May or June. January is a possibility also if we are unable to get Steve MacDonald or Mel O'Meare to do a program. We can talk about that Thursday at the board meeting.
Bob

I saw the request for a loach talk and I thought I would let you know that I have recently put together a talk on the genus Botia (clown loaches etc...). I have given numerous talks at the Sacramento, San Francisco, and the San Jose Aquarium Societies. The talk is a powerpoint presentation including the taxonomy, biology, and husbandry of this enormously popular and interesting group of loaches. My presentation includes movies revealing Botia behavior as well as sound clips from hydrophone recordings of these fascinating fishes. I have a masters in Ichthyology and am currently persuing a PhD in Fish Pathology at UCDavis. Anyway, I'm scheduled to give this talk to a few different clubs and I would love to give it to the seattle club. Thanks and hope to hear from you- Tom
