RE: Thank you notecards

My 2 cents...

I don't have my hand-written notes with me at work, and I apologize for 
being woefully behind in getting the minutes done from the last board 
meeting (been a little preoccupied with my daughter's upcoming surgery) but 
I'll check them as soon as I can and let you know if there's any record of 
who was going to send Kevin a thank you card.  As a sponsor of the club, his 
donations in support of our Christmas Party prizes are significant and do 
need to be acknowledged.

Although I really appreciated the cheesecake, I think it would be a drastic 
overkill to send a club thank you card for it - if you wanted to thank Trish 
on a personal level, that's up to you.

Regarding the other card mentioned last night (and I don't want to spoil any 
surprise if there's going to be one) I think we either need to discuss the 
possibility of creating a "Social Secretary" position so that NO ONE GET'S 
OVERLOOKED, or else keep such gracious efforts on a personal (not club) 
level.  We can discuss this in more detail at the board meeting.

Meredith (and everyone else who joined or renewed last night) needs to 
receive a Temporary Membership card as her old one would be expired and 
there's no guarantee that I'll have my computer problem solved before the 
next meeting.  Under more "normal circumstances" where I would for sure have 
her new card ready for you to give her at the next meeting, I would leave 
that up to you and/or the Board whether a Temporary Membership card is 
really needed - probably not IMHO.
