SafeCo Insurance Quote
I received the insurance quote this morning from SafeCo.
A basic policy, which covers...
General Liability - $1 mil/occurrance, $2 mil/aggregate
Property Damage - $200,000.00/occurrance
is $270.00/year
However, to add a $2 mil umbrella (which is what the SPU contract "requires"
is an additional $625.00/million (or $1,250.00/year.)
That would bring the annual insurance cost up to $1,520.00/year!
I hope Bob's quotes are better than this one!
fyi... The underwriter was amazed that SPU would require such EXCESSIVE
coverage for an aquarium club. They suggested that we go back to SPU and ask
them for a reality check.
