I tried sending this to June Olberding but it go returned, so I am trying your email address. _____________________________________________ I was looking at your website and saw you had an archive of your newsletter on CD Rom. Then I saw that it was only $10.00 for members. I was wondering if you would sell me a copy? If I need to join you club to be able to purchase it then I will or if you will sell it to me for a little more than the member price, that would be ok too! I am very much into aquarium clubs and am now Editor of our newsletter the MACKATTACK, which is the publication of the Mid-Atlantic-Cichlid-Keepers (MACK). I am also a member or North Jersey Aquarium Society (NJAS) and the American Cichlid Association (ACA) where I was past membership chairman. I was also one of the first founding members of the Bucks County Aquarium Society (BCAS). I am setting up exchanges with other cichlid clubs but I am not going to limit it to cichlids only. If you would like I could add your club to the list. We publish our newsletter monthly 10 months out of the year with no publication in August and September. I have an interest in different clubs from all over the US and am looking into doing an article on Clubs and their history or on the quality of their newsletters. I just recently joined the yahoo group on Aquarium Hobby Historical Society, which had peaked my interest in the history of the hobby. I haven’t decided yet on which way to go, whether to write it on history of newsletters or on the history of clubs. I will probably wait and see how much info I can gather on each of them then decide.
Also, since I am resending this to you I see that you are Historian of the club. Any history you have that you could send me would be great! Thanks! Ed Young |
