My friend and neighbor, Joan Bateman, has donated $100 to GSAS in the form of
used tanks and equipment which she purchased from a man in Burien as the
result of following up on a lead provided by Steev Ward (Thanks Steev!) and
has donated to GSAS for the general auction.
Right now it's all in my garage, and it's all been tested for leaks and
proper operation. Here's what we got:
-1 55 gal. tank, glass
-1 50 gal. tank, plex, fair condition
-1 50 gal. tank, glass
-1 35 gal. "breeder" style glass tank (wide & shallow)
-1 20 gal. tank, glass
- Oak hood for the plex tank
- lights, various sizes 48" to 24"
- 4 air pumps
-several undergravel filters
-9 heaters, 25 to 150 W
-1 marineland magnum cannister filter
-1 penguin 300 biowheel type filter
-1 Vortex diatom filter (with diatom medium)
- plus a bunch of corner filters, plastic plants, valves, tubing etc.
The plex tank needs some work; here's an opportunity to try out some or all
of the scratch removal theories that were discussed recently. Possibility for
part of a "hands on" workshop/meeting?
All Joan wants out of this is a receipt for $100 for tax purposes. Rick, if
you have any of the GSAS letterhead paper could you bring a couple of sheets
to the picnic so that I can write her out a receipt? Thanks.
Bob
