[GSAS-board] Meeting

Good morning.
Hope everyone enjoyed the meeting Tuesday. I thought Jim gave a very 
interesting presentation.

Looks like we have next month covered for a speaker, as Paul's friend Mike 
Goumas has volunteered to give a presentation. Mike is a commercial 
breeder, mainly discus and angels.

We still need to line up speakers for January, march and June. I have 
talked to Mike O'Brien (PSAS) about doing a short talk and Q&A session on 
beginning saltwater and reefkeeping. He's putting something together and is 
a strong possibility for January and beyond, is willing to come anytime. 
I'll also be emailing Tom Waltzek, asking if he would be available to come 
up and do his presentation on leaffish. I think he also does a program on 
cichlids. Not sure what kind. Maybe we can do a "twofer" depending on the 
program lengths.
Still looking into getting a livebearer speaker, and maybe someone who does 
anabantids other than bettas.
A few years ago we had Lee Newman come down from Vancouver and do a talk. 
Anyone remember what it was on?
Still hoping Oliver Lucanus can make it later in the year after his leg 
heals. That should be an excellent program.
