[GSAS-board] Library and New Ideas

Dear Board Members et al:

I thought I would pass on a great idea on Kate Breimayer's part. She suggested that we make a list of all the GSAS books on-line, keep the books at someone's house, and mail them out at book rate, which is real cheap. Then we wouldn't have to have a library cart, which would free us in the future if we wanted to meet at another location, say conferance rooms at a public library or community center. I think one of the problems we had with meeting at one of those places was because of the cart.

I know this old business, but I am finding getting to the new location at PLU is actually more difficult than old location. It takes just as long or longer to commute from Bellevue, then it did from Tacoma, to get to PLU. It is nice having all the computer stuff available, but that might be available elsewhere. Another idea would be to have a possible future location more south of Seattle, against the grain of rush-hour, like in Renton.

Also, it might be time to do over the logo from 1977? We could have "think tank" on-line for ideas for a new one. It could be fun...
