The club spent $275.56 on 2/12/2002 for plants and $100.00 in bog wood. On 2/10/2004, $426.50 was spent on plants at African Northwest, and another $122.40 was spent on 50 lbs of bog wood, at $2.95 per lb. I am wondering why we paid for sales tax on wholesale plants and wood for our fundraiser in 2004. We were not charged tax from African Northwest on 2/12/2002. I know I don’t have to pay tax on items for resale, or as components for those items, and we don’t have to charge tax on stuff, since we are non-profit.
