RE: [GSAS-board] Ad for TFH and Aquarium Fish Magazine

I was thinking it might be too late to do the plant auction ad, since it is only a few weeks away. I already got my TFH magazine for February yesterday. I was thinking more of a general ad about the club. For Craig’s List, however, we can do the plant ad. I would say “in Weter Hall, at Seattle Pacific University”. Maybe it would be a good idea to say “Aquatic Plant”, since people might think we are just selling regular plants as a fundraiser. Sometimes one has to be really obvious about stuff, since people interpret things differently.

I made a few signs last night for the auction. One says “Auction Staff Only, No Trespassing” and has a skull and crossbones underneath it. I burned the edges of the paper and mounted it on black matte board. The paper is orange-yellow. I also made another sign saying virtually the same thing. Both look really good. I was thinking Victorian/Old Time/Pirate while I was making them. They look really good. If we are going to have the plants piles in the room we meet in now, we can hang one on the window of the room door, and maybe the other one above the door, since the door will most likely be open while runners are putting stuff away.
