2. Ice cream. I can bring it, packed in ice in a cooler. I can also bring the
plastic spoons and bowls. Trish is bringing the stock of hospitality supplies
plus drinks. There should be napkins there but I'll throw in a roll of paper
towels just in case.
Thought I'd get 4 gallons of ice cream - two vanilla, one chocolate, one
something else, and 3 or four jars of topping. Sound like enough?
If we make it (and we're hoping to have the whole family there!!), I'll
bring whipped cream. I got one of those do-it-yourself whipper things for
Christmas & love an excuse to use it.
3. Stuff: I have a box of leftover auction items - mostly cans of fish food,
water treatment chemicals and assorted miracle cures. There is a gravel
vacuum and a big box of fruitfly culture vials + food. I also have a big
bucket of Nutrifin flake food that I thought I would divvy up into baggies
for use as either "party favors" to pass out to everyone who shows up, or
door prizes (along with FOTM and most of the "stuff" from the auction. I can
hold onto the chemicals and gravel vac for next year's auction, but the food
should be used soon as it probably has a shelf life).
I still have the small wayward box that was sent by one of the
manufacturers to our house a few days AFTER the auction. Can bring it, or
leave for fall.
Regarding the nominations thing, maybe throw out a request to gsas-member
describing what being on the board entails and enticing some of our newer
members to throw their hat in... or did you do that & I spaced?
