Hi Philwe usually put our guest speakers up at the Raddison Hotel Seattle Airport. They have a free shuttle service to and from the airport. Let me know if you would like us to reserve you a room there. When will you be arriving in Seattle? Bob At 11:03 AM 10/3/2005 -0400, you wrote:Yes, he did, and yes, I love Thai. I'm really looking forward to meeting y'all as well. I did have a question about accomodations on Tuesday night. I had originally hoped/planned on staying with my brother Tues night, but the only flights out of SeaTac to CLT are early morning. How do y'all usually deal with hotels?Regards, PhilFrom: "Rick Rose" <rick-rose@comcast.net> To: "'Phil Edwards'" <biotypical@hotmail.com>CC: "'steev ward'" <steevward@mac.com>,"'Bob and Judy Holmes'" <jbholmes@nwlink.com>Subject: RE: GSAS - Your Address? Date: Mon, 3 Oct 2005 00:05:49 -0700 Thanks Phil! This is perfect. We're looking forward to meeting you. Did Bob mention the possibility of a pre-meeting meal? We often treat our guest-speakers to one of Seattle's finest Thai restaurants (close to our meeting place) - that is, if you like Thai. I'll let Bob work out the details with you if you're interested. See you soon, Rick p.s. Rick, My address is: 7107 Woodstock Drive Charlotte, NC 28210 Hmm...bio...ok. I always feel weird writing these things about myself, but here goes. Phil Edwards is a native of Seattle currently residing in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife Sharon, two cats, and numerous aquariums (though many fewer now than in the recent past). He will be finishing up undergraduate degrees in Plant Ecology and Environmental Earth Sciences at UNC Charlotte this May and will be starting graduate studies in Hydrology next fall. After finding planted aquariums in 1997 Phil has been very involved in the botanical side of the hobby. He has been active on more internet discussion forums than he cares to think about and participates in many local and regional clubs as both a member and as a featured speaker. An avid aquascaper, Phil has participated in the AGA International Aquascaping Contest both as a contestant and judge. He enjoys all forms of aquariums but is best known for planted natural and biotope aquascaping. His current activities include being on staff at Aquatic Plant Central and as Advertising Liason for the Aquatic Gardeners Association. Regards, Phil
