[GSAS-board] RE: Auction oops

Hi Holly,

Wow, I’m sorry for the mix-up.  All we can do now is try to make it right.

First off, the club will reimburse you for any items that you were charged for and did not receive as well as the item that you were charged for and did receive, but didn’t want (unless you decide you would like to keep them; it’s up to you.)  If you don’t want to keep the J. Marlieri Gonbi that are now in your Q-Tank, then the club will buy them back from you and use them as the door prize next month (who knows, maybe you’ll win them back againJ)

I haven’t had anyone else contact me about missing or extra stuff, so it may be pretty difficult to try and find your plants or the person that really did win the 2 large fish.  I’ll let you make the call as to how far we go to match these items to their rightful owners.  Knowing that the incorrect charges will be refunded, would you like me to pursue it with the other members or just let it go?

I’m hesitant to lengthen the check-out process by having every bidder review their receipt before paying, but anytime that someone questions the amount it can certainly be done.  If you would prefer to check yours in detail next time, just tell the person checking you out and they can let you look at the items on the screen first.

I appreciate your letting me know what happened.  Once you let me know what you’d like to do about the J. Marlieri Gonbi, Susan can mail you a check for the amount to be reimbursed.

Hi there, Rick.  I was not sure who to contact about this so I thought I'd start at the top.  I hope you can help me :)

After the auction Ben and I realized that our payment and received goods are incorrect on a couple of counts.  I'm not sure how we could have kept this from happening.  We were given our receipt when we received our items, not when we paid.  That meant we couldn't confirm our purchase before paying.  At first glance it looked like our things since most of it was.  So we went on out to our car and started home.  It was only when we got home and unpacked that we realized the errors.  We ended up paying $19 too much and didn't receive $12 of the incorrect items we were charged for.  Is there any way to correct this?

Thanks very much.  We had a fantastic time!

Holly
