Sorry I haven't been able to get back with you, I was at the ALA
convention and am only now able to sit down and go through email.
The Anabantoid talk will be great. It's one of my favorites, too.
I arrive at 11:22 am on 5/9, American Flight 1799 from St. Louis, and
return at 5:18 pm on 5/10.
I have yet to meet any food that I really don't like (except duck, for
some reason), so anything would be fine with me. I do love seafood! I
like to eat at local establishments instead of the big chains so I can get
a flavor of the local area, if at all possible.
I'm sorry to hear you won't make it. I was looking forward to meeting
you.

The GSAS board met last night. They have chosen a topic for your talk:
Anabantoids, fish that can drown. There is a computer and projector in
the room where we meet.
I'm not sure what your plans are yet, but as I mentioned before we like
to treat our guest speakers to a nice dinner before the meeting. Any food
preferences? We quite often go either to a popular Thai restaurant or to
a seafood restaurant.
It turns out that I have to be in a town 80 miles north of Seattle on May
9 to sign closing papers on a house we're buying there so I may not be
able to connect up with you before the meeting, but someone will. Plans
will be made once we know your itinerary.
Kathy Olson asked about your plans while in Seattle. Did she contact you?
Within the next couple of daysI will reserve you a room at a hotel with
airport shuttle service unless you advise me otherwise.

visiting speakers for the night of the meeting at one of the hotels

the airport that provides shuttle service to and from the airport, so
