You don't need a separate checking account.  You just need an e-mail 
address to associate with a Paypal account.  For instance, at the AGA, we 
have the account agafunds@aquatic-gardeners.org which forwards to the 
current treasurer, membership director, book sales, etc.  That way, as 
people move in and out of positions, t's the same PayPal account.

The PayPal account is then linked with the club's bank account, but only 
in the sense that if you BUY anything on PayPal, it will pull money out of 
the bank account.  You have to remember to transfer funds from the virtual 
"PayPal account" into the actual bank account.

PayPal will take 30 cents per transaction, plus around 3 percent of the 
transaction.  That's pretty much on par with what you'll get from a credit 
card company.

I could set this up -- maybe do a speil at a board meeting (if I can find 
the time).
