AGA/Erik about plants February 12th Plant Auction (or Saturday Feb 9 or 16 TBA) March 11, 2008 water garden talk April 8th 2008 General Auction (or Saturday12th or 19th TBA) May 13th 2008 chiclids June 10th Ice Cream Social/swap meet/possible art project/HAP/BAP 1) Board positions are officially as follows: Paul Wallace, President Susan Welenofsky, Treasurer Meredith Crichton, Secretary Alex was elected onto the board but no one has been able to contact her since then Christine Renniger, also a new Board member Reinstate Erik Olson as Historian, he does the job already, hope he wants the title 2) Change Auction date to Saturday,revisit: discuss with Erik and the full board 3) Speakers/Budget -Reinstate before-general-meeting dinner for speakers, local and travelers -Paul will contact and organize speakers , Jennifer agreed to host out-of-towners, (unless the person is allergic to cats or dogs) -we will try for one out-of-town speaker this year, possibly more if we get other funding. 4) Recruit volunteer to be "exchange editor" for other clubs e-newsletters 5) Try homeshow again: ask for photographers 6) Try Bowl Show possibly in December Next Board Meeting Scheduled Tuesday September 25th either at Meredith's in Ballard or Paul's in Edmonds other ideas for meetings Shrimp guy ? Franks tanks? ask Erik too Steve on Medications Kevin of Place for Pets on Chiclids, Collecting in Africa/America ZooMed Chiclid speaker: possible $100 towards airfare Local Pond talk: possible BC/Portland/Oasis Water Gardens Erik/AGA Nano freshwater fish tanks : Franks Tanks (possibly coordinate an order with the club members) Silkscreen t-shirts or whatever?
