Susan: Thanks for updating membership. The proposed text is as follows, PDF attached: Dear New GSAS Member, As the president of the board, I would like to welcome you to the Greater Seattle Aquarium Society! The club is a great way to connect with fellow hobbyists in the region and share ideas. We offer the following resources: GSAS.org: Our website is the gateway to schedules, directions, and events. Please visit and explore! Monthly Meeting: For the months of September through June we meet on the second Tuesday of each month at Weter Hall on the Seattle Pacific University in North Queen Anne. We have a party in December and a picnic in the summer. Member Chat: The gsas-member list is for discussions amongst GSAS members. If you have a problem, a question, or something to sell this is a great place to start. Auctions: The club holds two major auctions. Aquatic plants and fish in February and everything in April. We have a small auctions after meetings to support our Award Programs (except December). Auctions are an excellent way to acquire locally raised livestock and see rare/hard to find fish. Members receive a 60% split at the big auctions and the option of a 50% spit at meetings. Library: Our small library holds a number of books on every aquarium topic arranged by subject. Members are encouraged to browse and check out items. Discounts: Your current membership card is valid for discounts at a number of stores in the region. Several stores are listed on the back of your card with additional opportunities listed at GSAS.org. Welcome to GSAS! ************************************************************************* Paul M. Yes, I did the renewals after the meeting two weeks ago. Can I see a copy of the letter before you print it off, and so that I may send it as an attachment to the new member? How many would you like? I think we had a number of members renew at the last meeting. Is this reflected in the database? -Paul ************************************************************************* Paul M. Wallace, PhD. Tel. I need those letters. The PayPal thing is really working out good, by the way. Almost everyone uses it instead of the USPS.
