Re: [GSAS-board] Newsletter
Steev:
Not the most inspired prose but I assume that the newsletter will have more
than enough on the auction.

Message from the President:
On my calendar I see a number of exciting events for our club. First, our
January program was one of the best in my opinion as our own Jack Lawless
covered his efforts to reintroduce Salmon to Fauntleroy Creek in West Seattle.
I am looking forward to the release party in March.
On February 12th we hold the annual Plant (and livestock) auction. Checking
starts at 6:30, viewing at 7:00 with the auction at 7:30. There is always
something interesting for everybody. In April we follow up with the general
auction which is so big it will be held on SATURDAY April 12.
We also have two big speakers lined up to finish the year. He first is Luis
Navarro of planted tank fame. His talk will detail the anatomy of a planted
tank and how aquascapeing can be used to build a work of art. In May, the
owner of the Wet Spot in Portland will visit and talk on chiclids. Steve has
experience as a collector, fish store owner, wholesaler, and hobbyist with a
unique perspective.
Finally the season ends with a home show and picnic. What a year!
