I propose a virtual meeting

my agenda:
Has anyone talked to Florian about the ice cream social?
Is the Home show on track?
Do we need to divy up some food for the prizes?
President: we need a general anouncement regarding the swap and shop
Shall I bring a craft project or is that just over the top?

GSAS Board minutes 4/29/08
at Paul Wallace’s house
Present: Paul Wallace and family, Christine Renneger and family, Matt S., Steve Ward and Meredith Crichton

Absent Susan Welenofsky, ( Hope you’re feeling better)
1) Treasurer's report : 3/25/08 balance $2621.19 after our big speaker

4/29/08 balance: $ aprox $4000 after auction   yes!

Proposed: add Christine to checkbook, have 2^nd checkbook or hand out a few checks for times when Susan and Christine are unavailable.  

State form: fill out and mail!!! Done, mailed, (SW: MJC wrote $10 personal check)
2) General Auction.  April 12, 2008.  Follow up
“$1865.80 deposited - $400 = $1465.80. $45 cash paid for food” SW

Thank you notes: finished at meeting MJC with assistance

 3) Home Show: Matt is setting up the tour for 2 Saturdays in May, ‘has photographers: Erik& Steve. Everybody wins: food and possibly log filters.  Gift certs put off for later. Matt and Steve will put out suggestions on how best to show your tank in the next newsletter or at least what not to do.

4) board nominations and … Susan has said she will stay on the board, sharing tasks with other board members.  Phil Lacefield has been volunteered and hasn’t declined.
5 ) Magazine: done, Matt  Show me the victors! (MJC/Steve: bring copy of magazine to next meeting)
 6) Schedule:  May Speaker: Steve from the Wet Spot will be talking about something and there is a possibility of placing an order with the Wet Spot to be delivered with the speaker to the next meeting.
Shango has started an order for Dario/Dario or Badis/Badis. (?) check email list. 
June: Home show, Ice Cream Social, Swap Meet, Board elections 
August: On Thu, 24 Apr 2008, Shango Los wrote:
