[GSAS-board] Koi grow-out contest

Connie Carlson suggested that I use some of my excess koi eggs for a grow-out 
contest.
I told her I thought that was a good idea. So I told her to go ahead and 
mention it to
the members. She was thinking that members could bring in their "results" to a 
future
meeting. Maybe I'll think of a couple prizes. Any other ideas? Comments?

Dear Connie-
   You are a genius. I think your grow-out contest is a great idea and I'll be 
glad to
help by providing the koi eggs. I've got TWO tons as of today because that 
really fat
female started spawning. I collected some eggs, but whenever I would go back to 
look
there would be more.

    Oh, wait - that means I have to do something with these fry for the next 
couple of
weeks. They should start hatching Wednesday. But no worries. I'll see what I can
arrange for housing. 

    In the meantime maybe some people can get an early start and take some eggs 
NOW.

    I'll leave it up to you to write a message for the list telling everyone to 
take
some eggs (now) or wait until the picnic to get some fry. I'll send a message 
to the
board telling them about the contest. We'll worry about details later.

     Members can send me an email to arrange a time to pick up eggs or fry. And 
maybe
people could pick up some for a friend when they come down so that people who 
live far
away can get some.
