[GSAS-board] GSAS questions (fwd)

Hey guys, I just read the meeting notes. I think the claustrophobic thing may be a little out of proportion. Re-read the thread here

http://lists.thekrib.com/gsas-member/Current/msg00088.html

and you see that what was said was Betty, who was NOT at the meeting, wondered if it would be a problem. Shango, who WAS there and is claustrophobic, said essentially "it was not a problem, but the room was small". And Betty replied with essentially "Oh I hope it's not a problem." To me this does not translate to us having "problems with claustrophibic members."

I don't see how the room, only 1/2-3/4 full, was considered too small for most of our meetings. I completely agree for the two auctions, semi-agree for the two "social" meetings, but that's also true for Weter -- it's too small for those meetings as well. Maybe they could find us something bigger in that building for those.

Once very nice thing about that location was NO STAIRS and the parking, even on the street (which was available) was closer than that bloody lot. So way easier to lug all the junk in.

Anyway, it sounds like you guys have already decided, so it's probably a moot point.

Subject: [GSAS-board] GSAS questions

Amy,
would it be possible for our group to have the Weter Lounge for our December,
February, and
April meetings?
Dec 9, Feb 10, April 14?

also could we talk about other possible rooms?Â
There were a few problems with the Miller room: the building was locked up
early, the A/C was
off, and the parking lots were full.
Â( I am under the impression that our folks have access to the parking lots)
Also after having a meeting there, the board decided that this room is too
small for most of
our meetings.

I am available Tuesday, Thursday or Friday afternoon if you would like to
discuss this in
person.
My home number: (206)784-6453
we still screen our calls so please start talking and if I'm available I
promise to pick up
thank you
