[GSAS-board] FW: Non-Profit

I was trying to view the Hydrostachyea plant specimens close-up but couldn’t because I needed to be a member of Aluka. This might be a benefit to the members of our club, as they could permanently archive our newsletter or God-forbid, our email chat. I know Erik and Paul are on an AGA mission right now, but I wanted to get this down before I forgot about it two weeks later at the board meeting.

Dear Susan Welenofsky,

My name is Michael Gallagher and many thanks for your interest in Aluka.

Access to Aluka is available through participating non-profit institutions, such as universities and research organizations. In order for an institution to access Aluka, they will need to sign a participation agreement. Information about this participation agreement and how an institution can join Aluka is available at http://www.aluka.org/page/join/index.jsp.

If you have any questions about the participation agreement or Aluka in general, please do not hesitate to contact Aluka Library Relations at library_relations@aluka.org.

All my best and thank you again for your interest in Aluka.

Sincerely,

Michael Gallagher

Hello:

I am Susan Welenofsky from www.gsas.org and I would like to get a closer view of the plant specimens of the HYDROSTACHYACEAE family. I am in conference with Erik Olson of the Aquatic Gardeners Association http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org/ and we have a great interest in this plant and would like to know as much as possible about it. May I have remote access with a user ID so we can learn more about Hydrostachyaceae?

Sincerely,

Susan Welenofsky
