I would like to thank everyone for a great season so far. The talks have been excellent (as usual) and we have a lot more planned. Thanks to the efforts of Erik, our taped talks are more accessible that ever with DVD copies in the library and convenient downloads. If the small auction after Ganzafarâs amazing talk is any sign, the February plant (and livestock) auction will be spectacular! Speaking of auctions, we have a slightly different room just down the hall and start a little early. The February 10th plant auction starts with registration/viewing at 6 pm with the auction at 7:00 sharp. Members get a 60% split and are suggested to bring a maximum of 20 lots that are either plants or livestock (fish/invertebrates). We need volunteers to setup, bag plants, and break down so please let me know if you are able. The April 18th general auction is moved to a SATURDAY to allow more lots and be accessible to members unable to attend the regular Tuesday night meetings. We have secured two big speakers for the rest of the year with Lawrence Kent detailing his travels in Africa for March and Tom Murdock representing our local streams and waters in May. The club also has a number of side activities like the West Seattle salmon release as covered by our own Jack Lawless sometime in May! _______________________________________________ GSAS-board mailing list GSAS-board@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-board
