It sounds like the Weter Common area is the only alternative at the moment. As per Meredith's earlier e-mail, OM 109, the giant room that would have really worked for us, is already booked. Note that, as per my earlier mail after the plant auction, this year's plant auction had attendence similar as previous years' *general* auctions. So it is possible that Meredith's plan could work. It may even be possible that no modification is needed if attendence is not record. Phil earlier was worried because the general auction was "all-day" vs. 3-4 hours. Actually, both auctions are 3-4 hours. This one's just on a Saturday. So there should be no difference in fidgetiness on the part of the people attending. I still share the concerns about the room size. Definitely. We get a few big tanks or stands, we're hosed. Maybe we could put them outside of the room at first? > Eric: I really like the PA you bring and a video screen is extra nice. > Do you have any room requirements? Well, obviously we can't do the video in the Weter Commons unless we bring our own screen and projector. The PA and auction system goes anywhere though. - Erik -- Erik Olson erik at thekrib dot com _______________________________________________ GSAS-board mailing list GSAS-board@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-board
