Wow, this is just a terrible idea all around.  This requires we have twice
as many volunteers, to watch over the room and to run things back and forth,
to say nothing of the constant influx and exit of bidders as they run back
and forth to see what's new, what's coming up...then there's two sets of
computers, one in the other room to get things checked in, one in the
auction room to manage bids...

Did you have any luck in finding out about the gym areas across the street?
Maybe there's one big room over there or something...
