Hi Erik, Wow, thank you for your hard work. I really like the idea of having all of the talk information in one location. One concern might be the copies of our newsletter that go to non-members and the copies we exchange with other clubs. I realize that we have agreements with the speakers to allow our members access to the presentations, but how can we keep out the non-members? I merged my info on all the DVDs in the library, plus the torrent files on our server, plus a little annotation: http://www.gsas.org/presentations_0912wombat.html My proposal to the board, to address Connor, Roy and others' requests for info on all the archived presentations, is that we publish this link in the newsletter periodically, and change the name each time we publish it. The URL would not be posted to the lists, and if someone did post it, we'd change the name immediately. Further, in looking at the page, if someone would like to watch some of the older talks and send some better annotations, this would probably flesh out some of the more terse descriptions. - Erik -- Erik Olson Sent from my crusty old Linux box erik at thekrib dot com _______________________________________________ GSAS-board mailing list GSAS-board@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-board _______________________________________________ GSAS-board mailing list GSAS-board@thekrib.com http://lists.thekrib.com/mailman/listinfo/gsas-board
