I have had the opportunity to go over the border on a number of occasions. I have also written letters of transport for workers that had to visit Canada. Typically as long as it is not a "working for payment" situation it is not a problem to cross the border, but if there is any type of income earned it can get "sticky". I'm not even sure that she needs an invitation; she could just say that she is taking a vacation. But if we write an invitation and it indicates that there is any sort or remuneration, such as the room, meals, or travel, there could be a problem. Any chance you could quickly write me up an official type invitation letter including the name of the talk I'm doing, the dates, the club name, location, etc? The sooner you'd be able to do it the better- hoping to go to the consulate today. Thank you!! This season we are hosting a bit of cichlid frenzy with several talks on the topic and your videos and 'life in the lake' sounds great! I would also like to hear a little about the Vancouver Aquarium as it is still a personal favorite for me. We have a small travel budget if you accept to pay travel, dinner, and lodging. We have several club members that regularly host speakers if you would like. Thanks! -Paul -----Original Message----- From: gsas-board-bounces@thekrib.com [mailto:gsas-board-bounces@thekrib.com] On Behalf Of Paul M.
