Re: [GSAS-board] Fwd: Talk next week

She is alergic to cats but caries medication. My place is the backup.

Board,

we will be glad to host Jennifer at our house for a night. The easiest solution will be to have her sleep in my daughter's room and said daughter sleep in the "cat room"  ... it had slipped my mind that the cats had ringworm (NOT a worm but a fungus) when we got them (they are over it now) so there is a slight chance of a spore or two hanging out in that room.

Do we know when she departs on Wed., since we leave the house around 9am ... we can drop her off downtown, but will not have time to hang out with her (She can stay here at the house longer than 9am no problem). Let me know if that seems o.k. to you all.

Should I contact her or will someone already in contact with her let her know??

Dear Board,

Jennifer is changing to a solo day trip for the reasons below.

Meredith, are you able to pick up downtown to dinner?

She is also interested in staying with a member.  Any volenteers?  If I can drop her off in Edmonds I might be able after I check with the bosses.

Hi Paul,

I just wanted to touch base about my plan for next week- which has changed, slightly.  Apologies for the inconsistency- things have been kind of nuts around here with all these visas and government agencies!  Here's what's happening: I do not have my passport as the Brazilian consulate has it and will keep it till Jan. 21.  I had a certified true copy of my passport made by a notary public, and will use that, my birth certificate, D.L., invitation letter, receipt from the consulate (that they have my passport), etc to show to the border folks next week.  My feeling is that considering it is a short trip, and that I have all this info, I will be fine to get through.

That being said, however, I've decided not to make this into a fun weekend thing but just a short, solo, overnight trip with the return train ticket on hand to show the border folks (this usually is something they like).  I know it's short notice, but would it still be possible for me to stay with some members, since it will be just me?  I'd still love to join you for dinner on Tuesday night.  If this is okay, I'll book the train tomorrow and let you know when I'm getting in.  Would aim to get in mid-Tuesday afternoon.

Thanks again for all your help!
