I agree the newsletter IS very relevant to our club members. What makes it relevant to non-members is that they now have the knowledge that our club exists, so when they or someone they know ends up in the area they can refer them to the GSAS. We get a lot of weird hobby newsletters and the GSAS is always a riot (let me tell you, some of them are godawful). Even someone who doesn't know the members can see that we have great amount of fun. That's the important thing. :-)
Bingo -- ask Steev about all the exchanges we get/got every month from other clubs. Some have never changed in 20 years -- I can only assume the club is as horribly dull as their newsletter. Our newsletter is a unique "zine" that really shows off the people here, that the club is doing well, and is a great organization to be involved with.
