I agree with Erik, Cayle, Phil, and Steev,
I think it helps to promote the club with key individuals in the hobby and
it really doesn't cost us anything "extra" to electronically sent out the
newsletter to past speakers. I like Phil's idea of a separate "Emeritus
List" for speakers and other "Notables" so they continue to receive the
newsletter although they may not be "Members". Maybe we review the
"Emeritus List" once a year and remove individuals that are no longer
interested.
Questions, do individuals need to be on the "Members List" to receive a
Newsletter? If not maybe remove individuals like Luis Navarro from the
"Members List" and put them on an "Emeritus List" instead?

Yes, since we started the E-Newsletter I've continued to send the link to
some of the former speakers.
I doubt that Klaus Kallmann would be interested, but Mike Hellweg sent me a
message recently saying how grateful getting our newsletter. And then he
asked if he could have a copy of one of our cover photos to use in one of
his talks, and since it was a picture that I had taken I said "Sure, if you
come back and give another talk here" to which he said maybe next year,
(because he is booked up until late in 2010 I think). So my point is, well,
whatever.

Speakers were given a complimentary one-year membership in the past. I
have no problem extending this indefinitely as a courtesy if they are
getting the newsletter electronically, as they will promote the club to
others in the hobby.
