Pizza is good with me! I jotted down some notes this month of subjects that
were brought up that we may want to address.
1) Central Point for Video Lectures with controlled access; attachment
sizes; "Trimming" posts on Member Chat; E-mail Chat verse Forum Format
2) Breeders Award Program - Status
3) Horticulture Awards Program - Mystery Plant Program - Continue? Budget?
4) Advertising / Self Promotion on GSAS Member Chat
5) Room size for May and June meetings with Ad Konings and Wayne Leibel
6) GSAS Debit Cards
Clay, Paul, Erik, et al,
These are all good points with regard to the control and security of our
club's finances. I will bring this issue up at the board meeting. We
should know:
1) How many cards have been issued; and are they are all accounted for?
2) I believe Erik is correct; there is no limit on debit cards other than
the amount in the account. It may not a huge problem if there is only a few
hundred dollars in the account but as the amount in the account grows so
does the possible loss if a card is stolen; the account and pin number is
compromised, or if the card is misplaced. If we cannot get limits put on
the cards, what are our options? Maybe Christine can check with the bank.
I am sure I am forgetting something, but the above should get us started!
