Thanks.....I had no idea that cold water fish could get it. Is it usually non-fatal in cold water fish though, since it grows so much slower?

Yes they can get Ich. They can carry it for a long time too because
Ichthyopthirius grows and reproduces more slowly in colder waters. It also
infects at a generally lighter level because it has trouble finding a host when
the fish are less crowded.
